Minotel Amadeus

The Hotel Amadeus is a family run hotel situated in the heart of the old town of Salzburg, on the famous Linzer Gasse, a quiet yet atmospheric pedestrianised street with many shops and restaurants on its doorstep. The building is over 500 years old and has been lovingly restored by the owners to create an extremely welcoming and comfortable hotel that reflects its history and also blends contemporary influences to great effect. The rooms have been elegantly furnished with antique and modern pieces.

The hotel offers double rooms available to book online at discounted rates, for single or double occupancy. Larger rooms and apartments are available on request (see photo above) to suit families. All rooms have a private en suite bathroom, telephone and television.

The personal touch is very much in evidence at this hotel. Every afternoon tea and coffee are available for you to help yourself in the hotel's cosy lobby. Each room is equipped with not only a television, but also a cd player, for you to be able to make yourself at home with your own music, or to play the hotel's specially selected Mozart collection in his home town.

Breakfast is served in a cosy vaulted room, buffet style, included in the price. The buffet includes cold meats and cheeses, freshly baked breads, dairy items, hot and cold drinks.

Enjoy the sunshine on the hotel's terrace, overlooking the quiet green space of the ancient cemetery, or take a coffee in the adjoining cafe, with outdoor seating on the attractive Linzer Gasse.

The hotel is approximately 5 minutes (Eur 8-10) by taxi from the station and within easy walking distance of all of Salzburg's attractions and so is perfectly placed for your stay in the city. Within 2 minutes you can be by the river Salzach, contemplating the domed rooves of the city's churches and cathedrals, with the ancient fortress towering down from the hill above.
