Evergreen Laurel

The Evergreen Laurel is located just outside of the main city centre of Georgetown on gurney Drive. It is just a few minutes from the business district and within walking distance to the famous Gurney Drive beach. Though the beach is not much for swimming but Gurney Drive is world famous when it comes alive at night with the local hawker food stalls.

Este hotel tiene 368 habitaciones con vistas ininterrumpidas del mar o Georgetown y la colina Penang. The rooms are large and has a higher ceiling than most standard hotel rooms, making it look very spacious. The cherry wood coloured furniture gives a cosy feeling. Las alfombras son verdes y las colchas y cortinas en beige y tonos pastel. Rooms come with free internet access and there is a 2 seater sofa by the window where you can sit and enjoy the view. Toilets are also of very good size and the white marble top and wall tiles are still in good condition. Deluxe rooms are the same as Superior room except they are all sea facing.
The lobby is large and the central chandelier together with the open space give an impression of grandeur. The colour scheme is cream, brown and green which is present throughout the hotel.
The open concept Cafe Laurel which is adjacent to the main lobby serves breakfast and a la carte menu throughout the day offering both Western and Asian food. In addition to this the Canton Palace serves Cantonese cuisine for both lunch and dinner.
